Academics

curriculumMeridian School continues in the tradition of classical education, with a core knowledge and liberal arts emphasis. We expect all our students to develop themselves in seven key areas: English language, mathematical thinking and problem solving, historical awareness, science knowledge and reasoning, foreign language proficiency, performance and appreciation of the fine arts, and physical fitness. We believe that each of these content areas is essential for a complete education.  We use the Utah State Core Curriculum and Core Knowledge as a general guide for course subject matter, and then we expand on those standards and content to provide a richer, hands-on learning experience.  Meridian gives consistent attention to the improvement of curriculum and methods of teaching in order to improve educational opportunities for all children.

  • We love Meridian. Our daughter is thriving academically and socially, and spiritually. Her teacher is really wonderful and the education is very well rounded. I really appreciate the global / world view the teacher shares with the students. We recommend Meridian to everyone I know. — Meridian Parents
