Upper School Academic Curriculum

US-uniform-girlThe Meridian Curriculum uses the Utah State Core and Core Knowledge as a general guide for course subject matter, and then expands on those standards and content to provide a richer, hands-on learning experience.

Meridian School has set graduation requirements, which state that a student must have 25 credit hours by the end of the senior year. These requirements have been created to fulfill Meridian's purpose as a liberal arts college preparatory school and at the same time accommodate students who transfer from the public school system during their high school years.

The graduation requirements are as follows:

Homework Expectations
45 minutes/day for each core class
1 hour/day for each honors class
1.5 hours/day for each AP class

Students are expected to be in class, on time, dressed appropriately, with their homework completed. Students treat their teacher and each other with kindness and respect.
