Middle School Arts

Drama
The Middle School Drama program is designed to provide students with performance techniques through three components of the performing arts: drama, movement/dance and music. Students will learn basic theatre concepts including acting techniques in Shakespeare, Comedies, Dramas, Tragedies and Musical Theatre.

Utah Shakespearean Festival High School Competition
MSdrama

Middle and Upper School students start off the fall preparing for the Shakespeare competition at SUU in Cedar City, Utah. Students prepare monologues and duo/trios in addition to participating in ensemble performances. Meridian has won the sweepstakes award and many other awards every year since they began competing in 2003.

Spring Play

Middle school students get a taste of musical drama with their own version of the spring play. Choices vary from a drama to a musical; the latest production was Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat.
